SOLD To Anat Cohen!
1936 CONN 10M. CONN NAKED LADY. FULL MECHANICAL RESTORATION
Here is a beautiful example of the legendary Conn 10M. This horn received a full mechanical restoration from Carlo Cennamo at Cennamo Woodwinds. When this horn came into the shop it still had all its original Conn Reso pads from 1936; it was that intact, very few repairs, if any, had been done to this horn in its first life with a professional, albeit relatively unknown, saxophonist and clarinetist named Harold James Tolford. None of Harold's children went on to play, and although he taught his grand kids to play, in turn none of them went on to play either. When it became clear that the great grand children would also not follow a musical path, Harold's grand children came to me with this horn and asked if I could restore it and pass it on to someone that would once again make music come out of it. I restored this horn in July of 2013 and it took all of five days for it to sell. And to Anat Cohen no less; boy did she make this horn sound beautiful!

This horn was fully restored with black Roo pads and oversized smooth domed resonators. All the key work was completely refit to eliminate key slop, end play, and key drift. Leaving the key work tight and responsive. All the dead springs no longer holding tension were replaced and I balanced the action. All the tone holes were leveled. All the key cups were leveled and the horn was extensively play tested. I like to think I did a good job because the new owner of this horn, Anat Cohen, was pretty critical.
