1925 Series III Buescher Tru Tone. White Roo Pads. Full Mechanical Restoration.
This 90 year old horn has received a full mechanical restoration from Carlo Cennamo at Cennamo Woodwinds. These horns are beautiful, play excellently, and are great pieces of American musical history. I have heard it said that these horns sound like parlor instruments. I would have to disagree. You could make any horn sound like a parlor instrument with the appropriately styled mouthpiece; an extremely close tipped large chambered mouthpiece will do that. This horn, even with only a medium tip, large chambered mouthpiece can really blast, or be diaphanous and lyrical. They are truly versatile. And it's from 1925! What kind of car did the first owner of this horn drive? Check out the pictures, they tell a great story of this horn's rebirth. So cool! SOLD!

French Noblet Intermediate Clarinet. Perfect for accordion duets   Sold!
This is an early 1970's wood Noblet 45 ND soprano clarinet. These are wonderful intermediate horns made by Leblanc. Perfect for a student advancing to the next level, or for enthusiasts of the clarinet who want to learn french cafe songs on a french clarinet. This instrument received full oil submersion for over four weeks. The organic oil reconditions the wood, so the wood is no longer dry and brittle and it aids in the production of a beautiful clarinet tone. I installed all cork pads on the upper joint. Cork pads will last for many years. Far more than bladder pads would on the same upper joint. The top joint collects a lot of moisture, and the cork pads are resistant to that moisture. It also comes with an original and handsome case! Compare this clarinet to a brand new, intermediate level wood clarinet made by any reputable company today. This one has been given a full mechanical restoration with full key refitting, all new pads, tenon corks, and full oil treatment of the wood.                                SOLD!

Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction            SOLD!

I performed a full mechanical restoration on this horn, in the summer of 2011. This is a Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction Tenor Saxophone. These are wonderful horns.  They project a big, dark, full-bodied sound that intonates evenly from top to bottom. I installed over-sized metal tone boosters and maximized the venting of the key heights to encourage a slightly brighter tone and a surprisingly quick response.  The top tones come out with ease and do not sound shrill. The subtones are as full as they get.

Selmer Super Action 80 Series II               SOLD!
An unlacquered Selmer Super Action 80 Series II alto saxophone. I stripped the lacquer from this horn because I love the appearance unlacquered brass takes on as it ages. It also brightens the tone; and in the hands of a practiced musician this horn will provide great listening pleasure because it really projects. I gave this horn a full mechanical overhaul and customized the spring tension to be well balanced and not over sprung as they seem be from the factory these days. Simply put, this is a great playing horn.

Bundy Piccolo                SOLD!
This is a student Bundy Piccolo that was given a complete mechanical restoration at Cennamo Woodwinds. Another well made durable instrument made during a great period of manufacturing at Bundy. Student instruments are not to be overlooked. Really. We can't always have the vintage professional treasures, and more importantly, we don't always need them. This piccolo wopuld be perfect in a marching band or a concert band. It is plastic, and as such, impervious to rain, and I installed synthetic pads during the restoration which are resistant to inclement weather. It would be fine for a concert band too, because it is simply a well made and fine playing instrument.
Bundy Resonite Soprano Clarinet        SOLD!
Here is a student model Bundy Resonite soprano clarinet. These are truly the unsung heroes of the student instrument world. The key work on all Bundys of this era is very tough and does not bend easily. These are extremely durable horns. They are very useful in marching bands because the molded Resonite that the body is made from is impervious to the rain. And they play well! Everybody wins with these. The inexpensive clarinets made today will never hold up in the field like these do because they are not made as well; and the student clarinets made today that do hold up in the field are far more expensive than this gem from early 80's.
