For Sale 1957 SML Rev D Alto For Sale $2,700.00
The SML Rev D is topped only by it's successor the SML Gold Medal. The Rev D was the last of the Revisions SML did to their professional line. These horns play with extraordinary power and bold color. For many people, myself included, the experience of playing these horns is a marriage of Conn and Selmer characteristics. They have enormous and somewhat brash tone, like Conns, with a dark foundation like Selmers. You have to play one to get it, but once people do they usually say, "Oh right. It really is like a cross between a Conn and a Selmer."
This horn is in playing condition following a tune up. It has not been overhauled.
