A 1922 Conn New Wonder. This is the first of the good horns produced by Conn and this 92 year old horn is what I like to call "The Original Blaster". This is a very loud horn. It has that Conn Edge at the end of the tone; like a whip. And it also has, as one player said after giving this horn a test, "The loudest low end of any tenor I have ever played." Those old timers had some serious equipment to set the pace for what the saxophone would become during the first half of the 20th century.
