Leblanc G Pete Fountain Model with Articulated G# and Fork Eb/Bb
Everyone wants to own a clarinet that plays a crystal clear throat Bb and this Leblanc is one of those instruments. The throat tones on this horn are all so clear, open, and singing. This stands up to all the R13's I have overhauled, is as good as the Yamaha 61 I restored a couple years ago, and almost rivals the SML Five Stars I have grown to love so much. Leblanc was not kidding around when they designed this horn. This is a serious player. Wow. This clarinet got a full oil submersion, all new adjustment materials, new tenon corks sealed with paraffin, Kraus firm bladder pads installed with white shellac, keys swedged where possible - several keys on clarinets do not lend themselves to proper swedging, and the tight key-fitting known on my saxophone work is not desirable on clarinets anyway; clarinets need to breathe. I loved this horn too.
